MGSE

Multi-GNSS Simulation & Test Environment creates a GNSS simulation environment that provides the possibility and flexibility to use synthetically generated GNSS signals and recorded real-world samples – both exactly reproducible. This tool significantly improves the development, qualification, and certification process of GNSS receivers within development phases and for the validation / certification in end-to-end testing. MGSE is addressing the testing of complex multi-system, multi-signal GNSS receivers and applications.

The system environment consists of three modules:

  • MGSE GIPSIE®: Simulation and synthetically generated GNSS signals
  • MGSE GTEC Recording Unit: Record real-world GNSS data
  • MGSE Replay Unit: Replay digital IF or analog RF signals

MGSE is capable of providing both, digital IF GNSS signals as well as analog RF multi-band GNSS data in real-time to receivers / components under test. 
 

MGSE© is a high flexible and powerful GNSS simulation environment that provides the possibility to generate both: simulated multi-system multi-signal GNSS signals and recorded real-world samples – both exactly reproducible – as digital IF or analog RF signals in real-time.

MGSE© GIPSIE®: Simulated and synthetically generated data
The multi-frequency, multi-system software-based GNSS simulation environment GIPSIE® is capable of simulating arbitrary GNSS signals and constellations. Through the Graphical User Interface the user can build comprehensive GNSS scenarios including all necessary orbital, signal propagation, receiver and signal effects and parameters. 

MGSE© GTEC© Recording Unit (MGSE©-REC) 
Beside the multi-band GNSS antenna, the main objective of the (MGSE©-REC) is to receive the RF signal, to filter and amplify the incoming signal in different frequency bands simultaneously and then to down-convert and quantize the signals, in order to obtain digital intermediate-frequency forms, which can be used by the actual receiver.

MGSE© GTEC© Replaying Unit (MGSE©-REP) 
Both, synthetically generated and/or recorded real-world GNSS data can be replayed either as digital IF GNSS signals or as analog RF multi-band data in real-time to receivers / components under test.

The MGSE© Data Processing Computer is a 19” 4U rackmount system which contains an Intel® i7 Quad Core CPU, 4x Kingston HyperX Fury DIMM 8GB RAM, 2x Samsung SSD 850 Pro 2TB SSD, and 4x USB3.0; 1x VGA; 1x DVI-D; 1x Gbit LAN.
